Biography: The Musical Director for the Station Singers is Carol Gedye, a well- known local music teacher and vocal animateur. Thousands of adults and children have taken part in her wide ranging Choral Projects. She also directs the Catterick Garrison Military WAGS Choir. She was delighted to be honoured in November 2016 by the Town Council, who bestowed upon her the Freedom of Richmond in recognition of her services in the field of Community Music.

Brett Overin, Accompanist

Biography: Brett recently took early retirement from teaching. Throughout his career he played the piano for school musicals and choirs. Since moving to North Yorkshire in 1990 he has accompanied a wide variety of local singing groups and soloists. He has played for the Station Singers at their concerts for the last four years, and also accompanies the Military WAGS Choir.

Carol Gedye Kay Bromhead, Deputy Musical Director

Biography: Inspiring and encouraging pupils to take part and enjoy music in Harrogate schools for much of her teaching career, Kay now enjoys a more measured pace of life in the countryside above Ellingstring. An accomplished musician, she has been Choral Director for Harrogate Phoenix Players, Harrogate Male Voice Choir, organist for churches in the Masham area, also plays piano and trombone, and sings and directs Treble Clef, a ladies vocal ensemble who raise money for charitable causes.

The Station Singers Management Committee

Our AGM is usually held in May. Other consultations are held by group email throughout the year as required.

On the Committee are representatives from each choir (Membership and library secretaries), our Musical Director, Accompanist , Treasurer, Publicity Officer and Bursary co-ordinator.

Accounts are presesented at the AGM, and examined independently on an annual basis in lines with current charity guidelines.
