We were delighted by the enthusiastic turnout. It was lovely to sing to a full house made up of so many people from our community. The concert was given in aid of The Richmondshire Refugee Support Group and managed to raise over £1000 towards their funds. James and Bex Blenkiron, as invited guests, drew the first raffle ticket of the evening and were pleased to offer their continued support.

Our performances included some beautiful carols from Poland, Germany, France, the UK and Ukraine. The choirs had worked hard at pronunciation and had been helped, in particular, by their friend Inna from Ukraine. The singing of Ukranian carols took on a poignancy, and it was moving to see our guests singing along. When it came to audience participation the church resounded with song making a truly special evening. Once again, our three choirs showed the importance of community.
